Bieneke Ehlhardt

Stylist & Junior Colorist

Why did you become a hairstylist?
I chose hairdressing as an art form to express my creativity. I also love the social side—being in contact with all kinds of people and sharing stories. I transitioned from acting to hairdressing because I wanted to work with my hands and find a way to center my voice and style in authenticity.

What do you love most about your job?
I didn’t realize how many directions this job could take me: from the salon to shoots, theater, film, ballet, and working with artists. The world is wide open. I love the creativity and the social connection—those were my reasons for starting. Over time, I’ve also seen how emotional and vulnerable doing someone’s hair can be. I want to give people confidence and love through their transitions.

Best hair advice?
Maintain, maintain, maintain. Use masks and conditioner, invest in good products, and always protect your hair when using heat.

My authentic belief is…
Never change yourself for others. Listen to yourself and stay true to it. Easier said than done.

Favorite ABC products:
The Intense Hydrate Mask and Hydrate Conditioner—they keep my frizzy curls soft and deeply nourished.
