Why did you become a hairstylist or colorist?

I’m a hairstylist in training, drawn to this craft because it allows me to blend creativity with meaningful connection. I love working with my hands and learning how to shape hair in ways that help people feel confident and seen. Even as a beginner, I’m already discovering how powerful this work can be, not just in how someone looks, but in how they carry themselves afterward. I’m excited to keep growing, learning, and building real relationships behind the chair.

What do you love most about your job?

What I love most about being a hairstylist in training is the mix of creativity, hands-on work, and genuine connection. There’s nothing like using my skills to help someone feel confident. That moment when a client opens up, laughs with you, or puts their trust in you, it’s the best feeling!

What is the best advice you can give to people treating their hair at home?

The best advice I can give is to treat your hair with love, the same love and care you’d give your skin. Be gentle, use quality products, and don’t skip the deep conditioning.

My authentic belief is…

That there’s so much in our everyday lives that can inspire us. Look around and let your creativity flow!
