UKYSAH – Sensei of Style
Created by Mogeen founder Hester Wernert-Rijn, Ukysah brings her experience in hairdressing into a versatile hairpin designed for professionals and everyday styling. Combining precision, practicality and creative freedom, it offers a simple way to shape, section and secure your hair.
A simple idea, shaped by experience
Ukysah’s story began with a childhood habit: Hester would twist her hair up and secure it with a pencil. When she started working in a salon at fifteen, that instinct developed into a practical approach to working with hair. Hairpins allowed her to section with greater precision, without the bulk and marks left by conventional clips. That experience inspired Ukysah: an intuitive tool that gives stylists and clients more control, while opening up new possibilities for styling. From the salon to your everyday routine
Whether used to section hair during a salon service, create a sculptural updo or secure a relaxed everyday bun, Ukysah encourages you to experiment. Its ergonomic design makes it comfortable to handle, and different sizes offer flexibility for different styling needs. Use it as a working tool or make it part of your finished look. The same pin can become a subtle detail or a visible expression of your style.
Beauty with awareness
Ukysah’s philosophy centres on a more thoughtful approach to hair fashion, with environmental and social responsibility guiding its ambitions. Creativity and conscious choices belong together, from the tools we use to the way we care for and style our hair. Above all, Ukysah celebrates individuality. Style changes as we do, and experimenting with your hair should feel playful and personal.
