Why did you become a hairstylist?
My mom actually planted the idea of becoming a hairstylist when I was very young. Looking back, everything somehow came full circle. My background in dance now comes through in how I direct and choreograph models, theatre in how I present and educate, and social work in the way I connect with people. Somehow, it all found its place in hair.
What do you love most about your job?
The transformation. Not just how someone looks, but how the right cut or colour can change the way they feel. I love creating hair that feels individual and really belongs to the person wearing it.
Best hair advice?
Work with your hair, not against it. A great haircut or colour should enhance what naturally works for you and still look good when you style it yourself at home.
My authentic belief is…
Great hair should feel like you, just elevated. Technique is important, but for me, it’s about understanding the person in front of you and creating something that feels completely like them.
